The Lodge
Our English style house was built in 1928. The lodge was builtas a coach house to compliment the style of the house and gardens. Beautiful old native timber, leadlight windows, roof peaks and Marseilles tiles are a feature of both buildings. Large trees and birds complete the picture.

The warmth of aged wood and spacious design set the tone for this imaginative inner city retreat where mature trees and gardens can be enjoyed from the private balcony (set high in the plum trees) and meals around a cosy gas fire. We provide a generous breakfast hamper, fine linen, complete privacy and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where a mix of sophistication and the casual meet.

Palmerston North is set in the rural Manawatu region - with rivers and forests backed by mountain ranges to the East and coastline to the West. A myriad of higher education institutions and research facilities give the city a cosmopolitan atmosphere. With live theatre, cafes, restaurants, cinema and music, cultural diversity abounds. Clean air, pure drinking water, green grass, fresh vegetables and fruit, fantastic meat, fish and fine wines make this region a gourmet's delight.
The wilderness of our West coast beaches are within a 20 minute drive and the white sands and tidal reefs of the East coast are two hours away. Palmerston North is known as the "hub" as it is centrally located for many of the attractions of the lower North Island. 2 hours to the Art Deco capital Napier, the harbour city of Wellington, Tongariro National Park, Mount Ruapehu or the wine Mecca of Martinborough. The Palmerston North airport links to all New Zealand destinations.
